In fact, my aim is to give you an unforgettable holiday, while introducing you to our entire region.
There are places, events and experiences that in the Asiago Plateau 7 municipalities really do ‘sell out’. I speak for example of:
- Mid-August week
- Christmas and New Year period
- Any events promoted at national or international level
But ………The first mistake I urge you not to make is:
To think that the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities area is welcoming ONLY during these periods.
As someone who lives on the plateau, I know that the area, even on a rainy November day, has a lot to offer.
We are talking about a very large territory, with a surface area of more than 470 square kilometres. Inland, there are many villages, many mountain hamlets and piedmont areas to discover. Just a few kilometres are enough to see the landscape, types of construction and density of houses change. In every village there is usually something to do or see, and I can also tell you that the inhabitants of the Plateau are a little wary, like all people born and bred in the mountains, but once you get over the initial mistrust you will meet some very hospitable people.
At Antico Borgo Brunelli you will always find proposals for an authentic holiday experience. If you just want to relax, you will be free to do so. If, on the other hand, you want to ‘explore’ the area, you will be given plenty of advice on ‘where’ and ‘what’ to see.
Thinking that just one day is enough for a holiday on the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities
The breadth of the territory clearly takes time to be appreciated. Just think that I know people who live in the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities and have never been to see the Valle dei Mulini in Lusiana, for example: a truly enchanting place.
“Speed” does not suit those who want an experiential holiday. If we lived in an ideal world, free of frenetic rhythms, I would suggest you stay at least one month, to experience these beautiful places. However, since we do not live in an ideal world, may I suggest you spend at least a few days there.
Thinking that only the most emblazoned centres can make our holidays in the Plateau unique
The variety that permeates the entire Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities area is unique. There is not only the central area, Asiago and Gallio, but there are countless villages and places to discover.
A famous phrase by the recently deceased Luis Sepùlveda says:
“It is said that every man must discover something that justifies his life.”
With this sentence I realised how important it is to take the time to ‘discover’ things, without preconceptions or prejudices. Only with an ‘open’ mind can we truly discover something. And, this goes beyond just spending a holiday.
