You know the famous speech by APPLE founder Steve Jobs to Stanford graduates?
he said exactly:
You cannot join the dots looking forward; you can only join them looking backwards. Thus, you must have faith that somehow, in the future, the dots will connect.
When, a few weeks ago, I read the article in the ALTOPIANO DAILY with the Antico Borgo Brunelli highlighted, a strange feeling pervaded me.
For a moment it seemed to me that a few dots of my life had actually come together.
I was born and raised on the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities and deep in my heart, I felt I had a big dream to realise.
For many years I worked in the construction industry, marketing natural stone and wood for cladding. I commuted up and down our plateau for about 40 years and during these transfers I kept asking myself:
Is it ever possible that our magnificent territory is not adequately publicised?
Over the years, I delegated the answer to this question to the various institutions in the area.
My life went on peacefully, until the spring was set in my step when I was faced with the opportunity to open the Veneto’s first Albergo Diffuso.
I didn’t think too much about it, I knew it was something I wanted to do.
Together with my husband Sandro, we decided that this would be our path.
In the few months since we opened, we have received many bookings and 90 per cent of our customers have told us something that left me amazed:
had never been to the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities
For me, who have always lived in this magnificent village in Lusiana Conco in the province of Vicenza, it has always been normal:
- Waking up surrounded by a magnificent mountain panorama
- Being comforted by the tranquillity and silence of my surroundings
- Regaining my motivation by walking the paths of the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities where our grandparents fought and died for our freedom
- Discovering the old trades of yesteryear that might one day come in handy
All this was unknown to most of our guests. They discovered it thanks to our Albergo Diffuso Antico Borgo Brunelli.
There is no greater satisfaction for a female entrepreneur than to see her dream come true, despite all the ‘buts’, ‘ifs’ and ‘in my opinion’ of the case.
Reading the testimonies of Italian or foreign visitors, such as this one
is a source of pride for me.
I know that I am only at the beginning of this fantastic journey. I will have to devote myself to making the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities known more and more, but the road is marked out.
My concept of diffuse hospitality is quite particular and I have discussed it in the article ‘The true hospitality of a Albergo Diffuso’ which I invite you to read by clicking here: https://anticoborgobrunelli.it/en/la-vera-accoglienza-di-un-albergo-diffuso/
