Organising a holiday with one’s family or partner can be quite challenging. Much also depends on the individual person’s passions, which do not always coincide with their own. Regardless of the period you choose for your holiday, I want to list what I expect from a holiday spent in the mountains.
- An authentic mountain structure
- The possibility of outdoor activities
- A warm welcome but not at all intrusive
- The complete freedom to manage my time
When my family and I decided to start Antico Borgo Brunelli, we had precisely these characteristics in mind.
- An authentic mountain structure
The ancient Borgo Brunelli is a structure that, in accordance with the regulations for dispersed hotels, is located in several rooms, close to each other. The reception and some of the rooms are located in a building that has been entirely renovated into an old stable. You have to know that for our grandparents, the stable was the equivalent of today’s living room. It was a place where friends and relatives would gather after a long day’s work to talk and listen. Yes, LISTEN and DIALOGUE, actions that seem difficult to practice today. It was also the warmest place in the house because it was naturally heated by the presence of the dairy cows.
- Outdoor activities
At the ancient Borgo Brunelli you can enjoy many outdoor activities without getting caught up in the frenzy of doing too many things. I invite you to leave the hustle and bustle in the city because the goal is to regenerate. Mountain biking, trekking and walking (on foot or on horseback) are the ideal activities to rediscover one of the most evocative areas in the Veneto region. In addition, at certain times of the year you can, rafting, canoeing, skiing (both downhill and cross-country) or even decide to do nothing and enjoy the magnificent silence of our Antico Borgo.
- A warm welcome but not at all intrusive
One thing I absolutely love when I travel is to feel pampered. I feel pampered when I find real friendliness in the welcome and a stylishly furnished room. I do not appreciate false politeness but prefer the real welcome I often find in people living in a small mountain village.
- The complete freedom of being able to manage my time
When I am on a leisure trip to relax, I don’t like to plan things much. But knowing that I can do as I please makes me feel calm. During the week, every minute is counted, every action is due. When I decide to relax I usually let myself be carried away by the events and opportunities that come my way.
With these thoughts, I hope I have given you my 4 secrets for a perfect holiday in peace.
If you haven’t already done so, I invite you to download the free guide to all the activities Antico Borgo Brunelli offers. You can do so by clicking here.
In the meantime, I hope you find your way to recover from the stress of this hectic life.
See you soon
